Bill Weinman is an accomplished programmer and software engineering manager with over 30 years experience. He is expert in C, C++, Perl, PHP, and most web-oriented technologies. He has written system- and application-level code for projects large and small. He holds a patent in database tecbhology and has particular expertise in telecommunications, networking, and email technologies, as well as databases.

Bill is the author of the popular open-source utility bw-whois, which he freely distributes to the Internet community as a public service. He holds a patent for the database technology used in the The Web Music Database.

Mr. Weinman has written or contributed to dozens of computer-related books and periodicals since the early 1980s, including The CGI Book and Creative HTML Design.
